One word of warning: don't use the scroll function - this is such a
great piece of kit, you'll stare at it too long when you should be
looking where you're going.

Product Review: Although this is meant for bicycles I’ve been using this
little thing as a speedo for one of motorbikes, and I
have to say it performed admirably. The speedometer
updates quickly, accurately and is easily visible.
The GPS Tracking is very good. Once you’ve downloaded the
software from Veloset and Google you’re ready to go. I
found this particularly handy when I was showing people
where motorbike tests were being held and which routes
were being used. I could see this little feature being
really useful for mountain bikers showing like-minded
people routes off the beaten track.
One little feature that works really well is the night
light. It’s something that you’d think you wouldn’t need
until it pops on automatically in the shade. It makes
everything quite viable.
Over all this little gizmo if full of things you didn’t
really think you needed until you started using them.
I’ve been running this for at least 2 months day and
night, rain and shine. It hasn’t missed a beat and the
battery life is excellent.
You might say most of these features you can get free on
your smart phone. I’d say yes, true. BUT… I don’t know of
any smart phones that can bounce down the road and into a
puddle, shake it off and carry on working without a hitch.
Pros:
Light weight
Easily visible
Water resistant
Loads of features
relatively cheap
Easy to mount
Cons:
PC Software isn’t as intuitive as it could be.
The user Interface on the cycle computer isn’t touch screen.
The cycle computer interface can lag sometimes and be a
little too sensitive as well.
I can see the USB cover for it snapping in the future as
it seems a little flimsy.
The cons are just minor gripes… This gizmo is thoroughly
recommended.

Product Review: I bought this item about a month ago and am very pleased with it. It is
very easy to set up and the instructions on how to use it are very
simple to follow. It is a basic cycle computer that suits my cycling
needs. I've compared it with a Cateye wireless and the readings are
very accurate. A good bit of kit for the money.

Product Review: Pleased with my purchase, especially as the price is good, it records
everything I need, the supplied SW is good, but needs slightly
better documentation as I had trouble with it initially showing the
data, as you need to click 'all' and the with google earth ad you
need to convert the data first using a different icon. Also the device
itself is not finger touch sensitive, so if you have it in pocket it may
well scroll thru the menu and delete data. Since then I have mounted
it on my bike and no problem

would like to use it for racing however not the quickest
to setup with no start/pause button.

Product Review: Quite happy with the item overall, I did not find it as easy to fit as
expected and it doesn't not bring all the wheel sizes in the instruction
manual, so you will have to "actually" measure your tire size to set it
up. Once fitted and set up working perfectly and very accurate when

Product Review: had this for my birthday . this item is the best trip computer you
could buy. it gives you a clear easy to read layout, it is very user
friendly , easy to install software. you will be up and cycling in a
matter of minutes. it changed my cycling now, as i look for the hills so
i can record them and show my family just where i have been( via
built in google earth) ..its not just a gadget , its a necessary, you
wont have to measure your wheels, and spend ages setting up, its
job done in about 5 minutes.....JUST BUY 1 , YOU WONT REGRET IT

Product Review: I have been using this computer for over a month now and overall it is great. I also have the wired
version on another bike and it was flawless. It has all the features one would really need and the outdoor
temp. is a nice useful feature. Wireless was OK, although I had one problem where the transmitter
battery moved and it suddenly stop recording anything. However, a quick open/close of the battery
compartment sorted it out. The product is great and the only limitation I found is the fact that the clock
cannot be changed (e.g. for summer/winter clock etc.) In order to do that a full reset will be required and
the total mileage will be lost as there is no mileage input facility (this means that if you do a full reset or
change battery the total mileage will be zeroed). Otherwise it is highly recommended and I will also
consider the VS212 as a viable option (and it has the mileage input function !)

Product Review: had my GPS bought for me as a birthday gift by my wife. She bought
it on my recommendation and lots of hints.
the devise is very straight forward to set up and use , install the
driver and program , and away you go. I dont want to use anything
else, ive taken off all other gadgets and gismo's and thrown them
away. This GPS really can help you training, passing yourself, being
able to view the data after a cycle ride and them being able to relate
to where you where at that piont in time is amazing.. Just buy 1 ,
honestly , you wont regret it...really easy to use, even if your just
walking or jogging, well worth the money 5 stars and 100% worth
it....just buy it

Product Review: This computer is easy to fit, it took me about 20 minutes. Setting
was straightforward. It is easy to attach to and detach from the
handlebar bracket, which has been a problem with other, more
expensive computers.
On on initial 12 mile ride the VS212A gave accurate information which
was easy to read. I had the computer set on SCAN mode. The heart
rate pick up is comfortable to wear.
At this price the VS212A is excellent value for money. Thank you very

Product Review: The Wireless VS-213 arrived a few days after I ordered it. It was smaller
and lighter than I thought it was going to be, this was a very pleasant
surprise. I had it fitted in 15 mins (to a Chris Boardman Carbon fiber forked
bike), I found the fitting instruction easy to follow. When I used it on the
road the screen was easy to read and, using the various mode features,
gave me all the information I needed. I have gotten a great bit of kit for a
small amount of money and I am very satisfied with my purchase.

from this company is exemplary, the package arriving

As regards the product, it seems excellent, not actually
tried it out on a ride yet but it looks the business.
Easy to attach to your bike, no setting up required, no

doing everything it stated to a good level. speed is accurate and the
gps logger is way better than i had thought.
delivery though was a different matter. it took nearly 2weeks to
arrive and i am still waiting for my 2nd bike mount. the support team

Product Review: I purchased this item almost 12 months ago and I use it
on my bicycle 5 days a week and approximately 130 miles a
week.I had purchased other similar products previously to
finding your product but none of them lasted. I have only
ever had to replace the batteries and have had no other
problems. Hence a further purchase for a different

Product Review: Brilliant item, my old speedo was grossly inaccurate so this devise was ideal small and mountable to the handlebars.Mounts firm but still cushioned by the rubber mount so no fear of it being shaken to bits by the UK roads. Well done everybody at Veloset. I can now stay within the speed limits sometimes, ha ha.

Product Review: Appears to be a well made and thought out bit of kit.
Only problems I had were following the handlebar
mounting
instructions ( try testing the brackets / readout
module
together, off the bike, before confirming mounting ).
Also, the required maximum 5mm distance between sensor
and pickup really needs to be in large bold letters !.
Otherwise, working fine and easy to use on the move.

The link into Google earth and the graphs for speed etc
are addictive. The handle bar mount holds the device
very securely, my only niggle is that it is very easy to
over tighten the screw that holds the two parts of the
mount together. Easily fixed with a dab of araldite in
the hole. All in all though, good product, service &
price. Thanks.

with good instructions. On all occasions so far the item has
performed very well. Only slight niggle was a broken fixing strap but
that was no big deal, bought a packet from Halfords for £2.50 and

Product Review: Fitted nicely to stem, easy to read and understand instructions. Not sure
how long the plastic computer release lever will last and the back light is
no good except for in pitch black to briefly check the display but to be
honest how often will you actually need to do that? Can't beat it for the
price. Would buy another without second thoughts. Compared to my
Cateye this has more functions is a third of the price and seems well
built for the price.

Product Review: Really Glad ive purchase theese Cycling gloves from velocet
They fit the hands nicely, Have The large palm padding and smaler
padding under the joint
of the thumb on the palm side almost the entire surface straight to
the fingers has tiny
grippy surface rubber dots that work just great,,
on the knuckle side of the gloves its a neat stylish finish with some
smaller padding for the knuckles,theres a velcro fastener for
securing them to desired fit..
overall there nice gloves and are well worth their price....
ensre you enter glovesize when order id fogot that somehow??
luckily the saff guessed and sent correct size...
my aching hands from gripping the bars has been greatly reduced
thanks to theese gloves :)

setup and in use i cannot fault it. sure the backlight istn superbright
but trust me if your on out in wilds nightime trail its plenty bright
enough to check time ect whilst stationary ovcourse. a thing i did
notice though is other wireless items may interfere with it theres
some wireless energy monitor attached to electric meter in my
garage this thing seems tell the computer im going 80mph when
park the bike :) thats my garages prob not the computers fault so i
just take computer off before store the bike in there

Product Review: Works well, probably completed 20 rides with this unit, i bought the
extra sender unit so i can switch between 2 bikes. The ony small
negative aspect i've noticed over the last couple of rides, is that the
HRM seems to be either slow to change the number of heart beats
and or seems to stick on one reading (166) which i cannot believe
i'm that good at keeping my rate to 166. I plan to pop in a new
battery on teh chest unit and see if that makes any difference. This
has to be the cheapest wireless cycle unit with HRM out there.

Product Review: I bought the VS-204 and have been using it 3 or 4 times a
week for 4 months now. It does everything I expect from a
cycle computer and is a very efficient item of kit. Easy
to fit, easy to set up and easy to use, I can't fault it!
I have even bought one for a friend who is also pleased.
Delivery was 3 days and it takes around 30 minutes to fit
(read instructions carefully first).
Reset individual distance and time to record each journey.

Product Review: I got a 2nd bike kit to go with a Veloset VS-213 I bought from
Amazon, however the plastic bit of the magnet broke and it is not
possible to get just the magnet on it own. Then I found that if you
want to use the computer on another bike, you will have to reset the
computer just to change the wheel diameter, which is rather useless
when you have two bikes with different wheel size. Having said that,
the computer is not expensive and has got all the functions I need, so I
went on to order another one from Amazon to save all the problem of
having to reset and switch between bikes. All in all, a practical and
good value computer, but don't expect the quality of the a cateye
costing at least twice the price.

Product Review: Now had the 212A for 2 months. I spent a while trying to find a
replacement for my Garmin and was concerned that one of the major
bike
magazines did not mention this monitor or company in the article
they
ran. I had no need to worry as anyone who has used a monitor
before
will be familiar with setting up the monitor and the wheel sensor.
Both
are cable ties onto the bars and front fork.
If this is your first monitor then the instructions are easy to follow
and
everything is explained well.
With only 2 buttons, navigation around the different screen options
is
easy and you soon learn how many presses it takes to get to your
favourite screen. The screen is easy to read in poor light and the
numbers
are big enough that a quick glance is all that's needed.
With the rain we have had over the last few weeks its water proof.
No bad points to mention just 2 design issues.
It auto switches off after 8 minutes if your not riding but I keep
looking for
a off switch which is a habit I need to get out of, and the screen is
slightly
indented so when it rains you can get a collection of water that
moves
across the screen as you ride along which can obscure reading the
screen.
Overall a good monitor, with a good range of functions for the price.

Product Review: Very good bit of kit, had a cateye before this one until it got nicked,
this is easily on a par with it.
Simple to set up with clear instructions on the wheel calibration
Don't worry where you put the sensor and magnet on the
wheel/fork
as long as they line up, as it takes the same amount of time to do a
full rotation where ever it is.
Once installed twist the the sensor in towards the wheel to within a
few millimetres and your ready to roll.

as they interfere with the transmitter. The backlight
is
very poor, and unusable, making the device unusable on
unlit roads.
Recommended at the price if you only cycle during
daylight, as the computer then functions very well, and
is easy to use and set up.

during my commute early in the morning.

Product Review: Bought this principally to aid navigation for a trip my
wife and I did down part of the Loire a Velo cycle route.
Initial installation, per instructions, gave very erratic
results. I think the brake assembly was blocking the
signal (on a Dahon Vitesse) and the bars were a bit distant.
Relocation of the receiver to the main frame tube and the
sender to the back of the forks (potentially hazardous if
loose) gave excellent results.
Found it both accurate and user-friendly throughout the trip.

Product Review: After pricing up various GPS units from other manufacturers, it did
strike me that unless you were coughing up around £250 upwards,
you wouldn't be getting anything. A look on amazon though brought
up the Veloset VS 600 and I took the plunge - and was pleasantly
surprised; you get a lot for your money. Whilst not as light and
option laden as some, it still delivers a great deal - very accurate
average speed monitor, excellent reception, very easy to use (both
the unit itself and the software) and with some really nice features,
like tracking routes on googleearth and the point of interest logging.
If you are thinking of getting a GPS, get one of these and save the
(big!) cost difference on upgrades for the bike

Product Review: This cycle computer / gps tracker is a good instrument.
I set it up in minutes, it picks up satellites in seconds and away you
go. The bike fitting is neat and secure, it looks good.
I had a minor problem to start with in that i could not set the time up.
I e-mailed Veloset who told me that i needed to turn off the data
logger to change the timesettings then turn the data logger back on.
I made the changes in a few seconds, the instructions did not cover
that, but everything else has been fine.
The software included worked as described, save data to pc, select
link to google and you ride is shown in easy to view mapping detail,
overview, street view etc. It's good.
I would like a case / bag to put the gps in when leaving my bike in
bike shed, this should be included in the price but is not even on any
accessory list at present.
I paid £74.95, i see that now a couple of weeks later the price is
down to £69.95.
It's worth it and in a few months it might even be down to £50.

easy to fit and set-up. Sadly the backlight feature is invisible in
daylight or even dusk. The wide range of readings is good and the
device is good value being a third of the price of a BBB one. But you
get what you pay for. It's less precise than my BBB speedo and flicks
around from speed to speed, despite some adjustments to the
magnet and sensor. Maybe I have a faulty model in which case
Veloset might continue their great service by providing another or
an exchange.

Product Review: At the price this computer would be very hard to beat. It does the
lot including heartrate at almost half the price of a Polar heartrate
belt alone. relatively easy to fit but did need some adjustment
before getting reliable readings. Some spare quicklock strips would
have been very useful. After getting the position a little wrong I had
to cut them off and then spend a couple of hours looking around to
buy some more. Once I found the right position it has been great...
very easy to use and shows all you need.

the instructions for fixing it to the bike was tricky. We had to drill
some
holes in the fixings to attach the computer to the handle bars as the
pieces that turned up didn't match the drawings on the instructions,
so
we made it up as we went along! I did email sales at Veloset for

arrived but there was no one in, the post office left a card for me to
collect after 48hrs. My wife went to the depot after 48hrs to be told
that as it was a weekend the item would have been sent to
Newcastle! after some time further enquiries were made to no avail.
By this time I had decided to order a second kit which arrived no
problem. In short I can only say that unlike the Post Office your
servie was to say the least excellent & I will have no problems
dealing with your good selves in the future or recommending your
business to my friends & colleagues a lot of whom are cyclists. I am

in and you just need to find your own rubber strips to cushion
between your bike and the fittings. Otherwise, I think I managed
to fit it and have it up and running. Just getting used to switching it

Data is dependent on good set up - i.e. knowing wheel diameter and I have found that tyre pressures have an effect on this too but overall if you havent had a trip computer before the information you get from this will be interesting. On higher end models I assume you can
actually stop the timer with a button. On this model you just stand
on the brakes and make sure that you keep your front brake locked
to avoid the wheel rotating as this will engage the trip computer
again.

Product Review: Exactly what it said on the tin, simple to use clear function & numeric

Only problem to get round which I did was the bracket is made to fit
on the Hbars & and as most bars are flat aero dynamic I needed to
fit mine on the stem so had to adapt the bracket.

Product Review: What a great little cycle computer this is. I bought it for my partner
who isn't a serious cyclist, neither of us are really, but we both cycle
to keep fit. She wanted to start keeping track of how long she cycles
for and how far on each occasion and this little computer fits the job
perfectly.
Sometimes she only has a little time on her hands so she uses the
stopwatch function to set herself a time limit and then pushes
herself on the return to try and beat the outbound time.
The instruction manual is one of the best I've seen covering
everything conclusively but in really easy to read simple terms. It
makes a change from reading a user guide written by a rocket
scientist that means nothing to the man in the street.
The quality is great and the companies sales process and
information were great.
All in all a great company to do business with...... So much so I'm
saving for the GPS Cycle Computer and will be doing business again
in the next few weeks.

Product Review: I bought this wireless computer plus heart monitor after carefully
researching what was on offer from a number of other
manufacturers. The VS 212A competes very well on price, but I was
a little wary having read some negative reviews on the instructions
provided for fitting and operating.
The item arrived promptly within a few days of my order. I found the
instruction booklet very clear and comprehensive - complete with
diagrams to aid understanding. I have had no problem whatsoever
in fitting and operating the computer, indeed I found it extremely
easy to assemble and fit. I am absolutely delighted with my
purchase, and have no hesitation whatsoever in fully recommending
the item both on price and functionality. If you want a good wireless
computer complete with heart monitor, this is the one for you.

Product Review: I didn,t think it was working correctly until I noticed
that the sprung battery contact had was not connecting
properly.Having sorted that out,it just needed bending up
slightly,I find it easy too use and a boon to keep track
of my mileage progress.I had a fall and have been using
my bicycle to strenghten my leg by increasing the miles I
ride at a measured rate and pace. A first class product
and very good value.

Product Review: It is a great product: inexpensive but with a hugea mount of features. It worth much more than it cost. Unfortunately the one I bought (Veloset VS-212A 12 Function Wireless Bike Computer Heart Monitor Belt) has not the back light function (anyway I’m not using the bike at night time!!!). It works fine. It’s quite big with a wide screen. Buy it!!!

Product Review: How do Veloset sell a bike computer with a Heart rate
Monitor for less than £20? Astonishing value, especially
when the heart rate belt works with Polar compatible
equipment (but not with Polar watches). Dead easy to set
up and it all works first time. Ordering is simple and
delivery (FREE) is included. I replaced a Cateye which
cost me three times as much and did nothing the Veloset
cannot do. Buy one now.

The product gives more than its cost.
I would only like to mention about two issues;
First, I was expecting a brighter the backlight and second and more
important one is that after a certain time of stop the computer
closes down, which is normal but when you start riding again it does
not start automatically unles you push one of the buttons. If you
forget to start the computer after the break, you miss some data of
the trip.

Product Review: I only recently put the computer on my bike. It's great! I love all the
functions like the temperature, speed, max speed etc.
It's very easy to use. The only problem, which occurred is that for
some reason couple of times it showed max speed as 99 km/h (I'm
not that fast! :)
The service was excellent. I received the product very quickly-well
rapped and with all the instructions. The batteries were in, so it was
ready to use straight away and very easy to set up. No wires! :)

safely use the backlight while the bike is in motion,

that I personally have had a lot of problems getting

unit to function correctly - indeed I am still having

fault than Veloset.
My advice - buy one. Give it a whirl... At this price

Product Review: I have been using the VS 213 for a while now and I am
impressed with the ease of setup. The mounting bracket is
convertible so you can mount it on either Handlebar or
Stem and compared to units costng twice the price this is
absolute steal.... I like the compact look of the unit
without being too fiddly when wearing gloves. The unit
has seen rain,wind and the cold Scottish climate and is
still performing like new. Do not waste your money on
other brands as this does the job brilliantly. A very
good basic unit that has all my requirements 9/10

Product Review: I have owned this computer for 2 weeks and have ridden it
numerous times, fast and slow, to test out its varoius
features and capabilities. I bought it becuase it had
more features and was 1/3 of the price of cateye versions
like the micro wireless.

When setting up the unit I would recommend installing the
wireless transmitter (by the magnet) FIRST, but loosely
becuase then the computer can be tested as to the
position (I would suggest 10 degrees vertically MAX. If
in doubt remove the battery to reset the wireless unit,
and hold set and mode for 2+ seconds on the computer
itself. Good luck

The unit is well designed and seems to be water resistent
enough for a light shower, and well designed overall, the
battery doors(s) securely fit and have rubber seals, and
the battery CR 2032 is quite common (cheap!) to replace
when necessary.
The display is quite clear, except for the refresh symbol
for the scan mode.
The speedometer function is really easy to spot
especially when it is too dark to easily read the numbers.
For £12 on ebay/amazon it equalts to £1 per function
which is amazing value considering the componets used
(which are the same quality wise to the cateye computers).
Bad
The range of the wireless seems to be less than
advertised, although the vertical is between 80 and 90cm
it cannot be beyond about 10 degrees, not 30 degrees
advertised.
The buttons used can be difficult to push if you want to
change modes quickly and this can sometimes cause
problems when riding, also, the backlight button is very
difficult to push and isn't very bright.
Not a major problem, but parts of the manual don't quite
make sense, with amusing consequences!
Lastly the time delay or lag is quite long, usually
between 3-4 seconds, but more if travelling lower than
5km/h, this, however, is standard in all wireless
computers because the wireless unit has to check for
'noise' in the signal.
Overall a very good computer with a gret feature set and
good extras (like the herat rate monitor version VS-212A)
and 'extra bike kit'. I hope this review is useful for
buying this/another cycle computer, I am glad to have
supported another small UK business!
